And 5 things I wish I knew sooner

I left my corporate job the summer of 2017 after years of burnout. I had done very well, very quickly working at a fast paced FinTech startup in Los Angeles.

It was my first ‘real job’ out of college and I loved my coworkers, the work was dynamic and kept me on my toes and I had supportive bosses — but at the end of the day, optimizing technology for business loans just wasn’t my true calling in life.

After almost 4 years spending all day every day, usually weekends too, at a computer screen for something that just didn’t do it for me, led to pretty severe burnout and the loss of all my motivation.

Around the peak of my indecision — should I stay or should I go, a good friend of mine invited me to a one-day life coaching weekend course.

I ended up loving it and joined their 6 month training program.

I went on to work for their company studying under their head teachers, facilitating weekend courses, and falling in love with a fellow classmate in coach training.

I started to coach and take on some of my own clients, too.
